Judge Bedelia C Hargrove

I am Bedelia C Hargrove, the Chief Probate Court Judge in DeKalb County, Georgia.  My staff and I are honored to serve the citizens of DeKalb County and all persons handling business with the DeKalb County Probate Court.  I wanted to take a moment to strongly encourage you to e-file your DeKalb County Probate Court filings.  The benefits of e-filing include no parking fees, no traffic problems, no multiple visits, and remaining in the comfort of your home or office.  We were proud to be the first Probate Court in the state of Georgia to launch e-filing in 2020 at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Since 2021, a vast majority of our probate court filings have been e-filed in this Court.  There are only a few filings that cannot be e-filed, and those include Orders to Apprehend, Certificates of Residency, Veteran Certificates of Eligibility, Wills for Safekeeping, and the filing of original oaths and bonds.  Please be sure to take advantage of our e-filing options today because it is the best way we serve our citizens efficiently and without delay in processing our voluminous filings.
