Judge Bedelia C Hargrove
Judge Bedelia C Hargrove presides over DeKalb County Probate Court. The Probate Court has jurisdiction over the probate of wills, administration of estates, appointment of guardians and conservators for incapacitated adults as well as minors, and mental health commitments. The Probate Court also issues marriage licenses and weapons carry licenses and performs a number of other administrative duties.

Location #1:
DeKalb County Courthouse, 1000 Judicial Tower (1st floor)
Functions: Mental Health, Orders to Apprehend, Guardianships, Conservatorships and Records
Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – By Appointment Only
Note: Customers filing Lay Affidavits (for Orders to Apprehend) must arrive by 2:00 p.m. to allow sufficient time for processing.
Location #2:
DeKalb County Courthouse, B190 Judicial Tower (basement floor)
Functions: Marriage Licenses, Weapons Carry Licenses, Estates and Auditing
Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
